Warts n' All...(19Feb08)

 

Hi friends

 

It's so encouraging to hear what God is doing all over the place, how his grace is exploding.

Amidst persecutions and accusations, there is the fire of His spirit to confirm in our hearts the truth of His message of redemption!

 

I joined a church 3 months ago.

Much of their previous teaching and doctrine had a lot to do with "blessings and curses" theology, burden bearing, endless intercession etc etc.

 

God has made inroads for this message to the extent that now ALL in leadership are listening to grace messages from Rob and others.

They are testily preaching pure grace with anointing following.

We had a guy who was scheduled for surgery this week, fell under the power of God for 20mins - we trust that he is FULLY healed!!

 

The 70 year old pastor (awesome man) who planted the church 19 years ago led us into communion with these words...

(I am taking a bit of licence here as I don't recall the words exactly).

"We can't continue to preach a mixture of law and grace as it is an offence to the cross".

He went on to say that the only way you could take communion in an unworthy manner would be to not believe that Jesus did it all for us.."what a wonderful saviour we have"  "what a wonderful Gospel we have"!

 

The leadership is wide open and it is a church of about 250 people in a small seaside town....hold your breath!!

We are having an equipping conference open to churches nationally 7-11 April.

My friend and mentor Wayne Duncan has been given the most floor time as a speaker and we trust for insane things to happen as God confirms His word!! - Please Pray..
