Can Christians be Demon Possessed?
(All Bible verses quoted are from the New King James Version)

Without a doubt this is the wrong question. It's not about whether demons can influence or attack Christians, the correct question is: Where do demons get their power from? I have seen believing, Holy Spirit filled Christians frothing at the mouth, screaming and convulsing when the demons leave them. How can this be? Were they not truly converted (born again)? Or is there more to it?

Amazingly some ministries wilfully and purposely set out to engage the enemy, Satan. They actually go out and look for him, constantly trying to rebuke and defeat Satan on all territories and fronts. However, this is merely one of the many ways that Satan uses to distract Christians from their true purpose, which is to have a relationship with the Father.

Satan and his demons were defeated at the cross, and God made a public spectacle of them by marching them in front of all their enemies in a victorious parade (Col 2:15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it). They were completely DISARMED. So where do they now get their weapons from? How can they attack believing Christians? Note that a demon cannot possess a Christian, because the Holy Spirit lives inside us, and is one with our spirit (1 Cor 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him). And a demon can not co-exist in the same place as the Holy Spirit.

But demons attach themselves to our minds and our bodies and bring about destruction in our minds by influencing our thoughts with depression, sinicism, unbelief, self pity, etc. and they also bring about destruction in our bodies by infirmities & diseases. Christians "re-arm" these defeated demons by submitting to the law. The power of the law is sin (1 Cor 15:56  The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law). When Christians go back under the yoke of slavery, namely The Law (see Gal 5), they empower a defeated foe. They allow condemnation, depression, guilt and heaviness to come back on them, all the things Christ died to set us free from! When Christ died on the cross, the law (including the 10 commandments) with all its requirements were nailed to the cross with Jesus (Col 2:14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross). There is now no more law, and where there is no law, there is no transgression of the law (Rom 4:15 because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression).

"If there is no more law then, it means that sin has no more power over us (see 1 Cor 15:56 above again). The law points out our mistakes, it shows us we are not worthy of God's grace and it makes us feel incompetent, which is exactly what it was designed to do! We would not have known what sin was if it were not for the law. Rom 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

So when a believer (that has been freed from the law by simply believing in Christ) now puts himself/herself again under this yoke of bondage, how can they expect anything else than to feel condemned, depressed, incompetent, guilt ridden, unworthy and burdened? If we try to do the very thing which Christ died to set us free from (observing the law), how can we expect anything else than to be attacked by the enemy and his army of demons? We put the weapons right into their hands!!

The most effective way to cast out these unclean spirits from a believer is by simply ministering to the person the message of grace (unbelievers have to come into Christ first). Prove to the person from God's Word they have been made completely righteous (2 Cor 5:21) and have been freed from the requirements of the law (Rom 7:1-6). And you will watch those cowardly, defeated spirits go!!!

Wayne's World...(30Mar09)

Healing testamony...thank you Jesus we will tell of your goodness..

HELLO GUYS!!!!
I just want to share something else.
Years ago i hurt myself in the army, i had permanent damage to my back- bulged disc, and disc decessitation with sharp pain and sometimes constant pain in my left hip. I have had one leg longer than the other for years. I have been praying so much for this to be healed. As i believe God has called me to be a missionary one day, i said to God so many times that how can i do this if i can't even walk properly or long distances. And it has only been getting worse.

At the conference someone got prayed for out the front by Joshua Mills who called out for a Dave with a back injury. In front of EVERYONE (800 PEOPLE) his leg grew!!!
Afterwards i said i really wanted that to be me, (my name is Dave too and i thought he got the wrong person!!!). We went for lunch, afterwards we had icecream and told a few people my problem. They all stopped what they were doing and Wayno was the one who prayed for me, with my back to a cement step and my legs being held out, they prayed a simple prayer and my leg grew, my back pain went!!! I was in shock more than anything, one- cause i felt it, two- cause i couldn't get over God's graciousness and power, three because it was just a miracle, a full on miracle. I have been prayed for before and not much has happened permanently. Well it's been a week and a bit now and my miracle that God gave me has remained!!!!!!!! This is a 100% testimony of God's power!!! Something Joshua Mills said a few days ago was we need to steward any healing we get, a few times i've felt a bit of pain, but i've just rebuked it and it has gone.

These miracles, signs and wonders, does not draw me closer to seeking after miracles, signs and wonders as that should just be a natural response from preaching the word, but what it does is it points the focus to God, it brings glory to God. It's not about us, but all about God. All i can say is when i see miracles, signs or wonders i am amazed, and it makes me wonder about how amazing and awesome and beautiful God is. All i think about them is it's a little bit of Heaven opening up and coming down to earth. If we are in Christ and Christ is in us, and Christ is seated next to the Father in Heaven, and were seated in Heavenly places then it's just going to be a natural thing for manifestations of gold dust, oil, fragrance from Heaven etc to come to earth.

Please have a look at the you tube clip and see how it happened, it was so natural, and it did help our unbelief go out the window- unbelief of the supernatural!!! We can be fully saved but still have unbelief about the supernatural, about what goes on in Heaven.

Love you all, bless you all!!!!!!

Great Faith…
Wayne Duncan

What do these two scriptures have in common?

Luke Chapter 7

1When Jesus had finished saying all this in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum. 2There a centurion's servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. 3The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, "This man deserves to have you do this, 5because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue." 6So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: "Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. 7That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 8For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, `Go,' and he goes; and that one, `Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, `Do this,' and he does it." 9When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel." 10Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.

Matthew 15:21
21Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession." 23Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us." 24He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel." 25The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said. 26He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs." 27"Yes, Lord," she said, "but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." 28Then Jesus answered, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

These scriptures talk about the two people in the bible Jesus describes as having great faith.
Now faith is a big deal. The bible tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God.
Hebrews 11:6:
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

What I want us to see today is what is great faith…
What is it about these two people that made Jesus say they had great faith? Jesus said about the one, "I've not found faith like this in all of Israel"…that's a big deal!
Again what two things did these two people have in common that got Jesus attention?

Firstly it's interesting to note that both these people were not Jews. What this means is that they had no business with the Jesus. Jesus ministry was to the Jewish people. The Roman and the Canaanite. I mean Jews were forbidden to associate with Canaanite's. They were seen as unclean.

So here you have these people.
What did they see in Jesus? Here it is..
They saw that Jesus is good. Despite what they deserved, they were able to believe God for good. Despite their condition they believed God would help them. Despite their disqualification, they believed God would be good to them.
They had faith in Jesus.
They did have an advantage though. They were not under the law. The law you see exposes our weaknesses and removes faith. They had faith.

Romans 4:14:
For if those who live by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless,

How it works is like this…
Living like this has no faith…
If I do things right, and get it all together, then God will be obliged to bless me…If I keep the commandments and the law, God will have to bless me. There is no faith in this, and it does not please God. The faith is in yourself, and your effort, it's worthless!
There is a weird kind of faith that works like this…If I do these things, God will be obliged to give me blessings…this is totally without faith, and at the heart of it is manipulation. If those who live by the law are heirs…the law of do, the law of if I then God will…if those are heirs, faith is of no value…and the promise worthless…what is the promise…the promise is, "I will be to them God"
John Piper has this absolute smoker "God is most glorified, when we are most satisfied"…know this a good God wants you to be satisfied.
What had these two people in the above scriptures, the Roman and the Canaanite woman ever do to receive blessing? Nothing, except believe they would receive a blessing. That's all they did there was no performance involved. They had faith. Faith in who Jesus is. This is true faith, resting our minds in who Jesus is. Jesus is love. He loves us, resting in this position us for receiving the blessing. You want blessings, believe God is Good! Believe he wants to give you everything you want and need.
Jesus called it great faith when these two simply believed in Him.
Look at this stunning scripture Romans 8:32
32He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
How do we receive all good things?
Who has given us all good things?
How has he given them to us?
How do we know Father wants to give us good things?
How do these things come to us?

Listen friends…Faith is not something you have…it's what happens to you when you know Jesus.
When we clearly see Jesus, and His performance on our behalf, when we see that we are as righteous as he is through the finished work of the cross, faith rises up within us, and we feel surely we are blessed indeed. When we begin to see ourselves as he sees us, we become confident expectors of His goodness to invade our lives.

Here is this Canaanite woman refusing to believe that she would not be blessed! Jesus called t great faith.
We don't have faith for things, we have faith in a person, Jesus.
Great faith is believing God is good. Great faith is believing God can do what e has promised. Great faith is believing God wants to bless you. This great faith positions us to receive all the blessing of heaven.
If you need a miracle, expect it. Trust in Jesus. Have faith in Him. When we need healing, we believe in Jesus, we believe in His love and finished work, we believe He is good.
If we need a financial miracle, know Father. He did not spare His son how will he not freely give us all good things.
If we have an addiction, or a bondage, know Jesus can and wants you to be free, believe in Jesus. You don't have to have faith for your addiction to be broken, you just need to see Jesus love for you, and faith will happen to you, and you'll find His power released with great power.
