You need faithfulness
Wayne Duncan
 
It's of utmost importance that we understand the need for faithfulness!
 
Without faithfulness working in our lives we have no certainty of salvation!
 
Without faithfulness, we are left vulnerable, and have no certainty of hope for the future!
 
Without faithfulness we cannot grow in any way as Christians!
 
Without faithfulness, we will not see revival, and signs and wonders and miracles.
 
We simply must have faithfulness!
 
Were lost without it! 
 
Here is the good news…JESUS IS FAITHFULL.
 
Our success as Christians is not dependant on our faithfulness to God, but it's essentially Jesus faithfulness to the Father and to us, that secures our future and gives us bold hope. Even our very right standing with God required and requires Jesus faithfulness.
 
Now faithfulness is important in every believer's life, and faithfulness should flow out of Christians. BUT this faithfulness is an overflow, and a result of His faithfulness.
 
Let's examine Jesus faithfulness for a moment!
 
Jesus is faithful to His covenantal promises.
 
Now we've looked at covenants before but, just to remind ourselves. A covenant is a legal agreement, with obligations and requirements. For the new covenant to be activated in our lives, we need to believe in Jesus. That by His sacrifice we are made right with God. When we have done this God is contractually obligated to faithfully perform His end of the deal.
 
Now please see this, God is not motivated by his legal obligations, he is motivated by His love. But to help us in our unbelief, He humbled himself to make a written declaration of His obligations and responsibilities to us… Its crazy, but such is the tendency in man to underestimate the love of the Father that God had to take radical steps, to help us literally see the love of God.
 
Now God is bound by His righteousness to fulfill the covenant. God does not lie, neither can He. God cannot be unfaithful; He would cease to be God if he was unfaithful. In perfect holiness and righteousness the God of all justice will be faithful to His promises. That's who He is.
 
In Isaiah 54 we see the promise of the coming covenant of peace, called the eternal covenant of peace or the new covenant. Where God began to outline a new way he would relate to His beloved creation…now remember God is bound by His righteousness to do these things.
 
Here are some of the promises of the covenant…
 
"so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you,"
 
God swore never to be angry with us.
 
and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,"
 
God promised that his state of peace would never be removed!
 
. 14In righteousness you shall be established
 
God promised to establish us in righteousness. This means that He establishes us in an eternal right standing with Him.
 
Lets look some more at the new covenant.
 
Hebrews 8
"Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 9not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord. 10For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 11And they shall not teach, each one his neighbor and each one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. 12For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more." 13In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
 
Let's see some more promises here. There are many but I want to focus on just a few, but you go see what our amazing God promises us as an inheritance to all who believe in Jesus and step into the New Covenant.
 
9not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt. For they did not continue in my covenant, and so I showed no concern for them, declares the Lord
 
In the old covenant, God showed no concern for those who did not walk in the covenant. In the new covenant, we enter it, and He will always show concern for us, by grace regardless of the state of our lives.
 
12For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more."
 
What dos this mean?
 
NIV says
 
12For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
 
NKJV
 
12For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more."
 
This word here iniquities or wickedness in NIV or unrighteousness in NKJV is as follows in the Greek

From G94; (legal) injustice (properly the quality, by implication the act); moral wrongfulness (of charater, life or act): - iniquity, unjust, unrighteousness, wrong. 
 
"Sins" is translated from the Greek= offence.
 
The Webster's dictionary brings in an extra element of unequal.(short of the glory of God)
 
What this says very basically it that all our sins, wrong doing, offences, wickedness, moral failings, iniquities and wrongfulness will attract mercy and forgiveness from God. He promises to not count these things against us.(and as sin abounds grace abounds all the more Rom6)
 
This is confirmed again in Romans 4:7 "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; 8blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin."
 
We see two components of this covenantal promise one is forgiveness, and the other in a favor component.
 
John Piper talks about how "Jesus was not only for our pardon, but also for our perfection".
 
Most of us do not battle with believing that our sins are forgiven, by we battle to accept that as a result of this God sees us as perfectly obedient.
 
This is what it means when God declares "in righteousness you will be established"…
 
You see we are not only declared not guilty, but we are also declared worthy to receive all the blessings of heaven.  That's what Ephesians says. You've received every spiritual blessing, and He has given us everything for life and godliness.
 
Now this is true weather you believe it or not, why? Because God is faithful, it has to be true, God says so.  
 
So Faithfulness here sets us up for a guilt free life of no condemnation. This inspires and invites us into intimacy with God, the place of love and strength and power.
 
Can you see how no-one in the new covenant is disqualified from any of Gods blessings? There is nothing you can do to remove the blessing and favor of God from your life, because He is faithful to His covenant.
 
If God were to be angry with you, condemn you, or count your sins against you in any way, he would become unfaithful to His covenant, and cease to be a righteous God!
 
Now unfortunately you always need to address this little issue.
 
"Wayno if you preach this people will just go out and sin"
 
If your hearing, well I can go wild and do what I want, you do not understand Grace. Gods plan is to love us to wholeness, and give us every way of being victorious in life, so that we can be free from everything that hurts us in life. Sin is destructive, sin hurts and sin has negative consequences. Sin is bondage.
 
A born again Christian wants to please God, now that we are set free from sin and the law, we can live out our hearts desires. It's not just the removal of one thing, but it is the replacement with an infinitely more powerful and effective way.
 
So we see here God is bound by His faithfulness to keep you in right standing with Him. 
 
Now I want to point out another part of Gods faithfulness. Please look for promises, statements and declarations Jesus makes, and deals the Father and the son make…this will give tremendous insight to the deal, between the Father and the Son regarding what Jesus was to accomplish by His life, death and resurrection…
 
Look at these scriptures.
 
John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. 39And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. 40For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."
 
John 10v27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me,(Some manuscripts What my Father has given to me)  is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 30I and the Father are one."
 
Phil 1:6 "He who began a good work in you will carry it out to completion"
 
Ok so here it is. The father gives people to Jesus. His sheep.
 
Jesus must be faithful to the will of the father. Jesus was faithful to the will of the father and perfectly did, and is doing all the father desires.
 
. 39And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day
 
What was Gods will…that Jesus would loose none of all he was given.
 
The Father asked Jesus to not loose 1 of all He was given by the father, but raise them up on the last day.
 
Here the Father asked Jesus to be a perfect savior for man, to guard and protect the salvation of every true believer, and to keep them and to raise them up on the last day.
 
Friends here Jesus made a promise to the father to keep you and I saved forever! Jesus is now bound by His faithfulness to the Father to keep you saved.
 
40For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."
 
We have eternal life. Saved forever!
 
Is this true, can it be?
 
Lets look further…
 
28I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me,(Some manuscripts What my Father has given to me)  is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand
 
We have been given eternal life…not "perhaps", or "if" or "maybe"…it's a done deal were given eternal life.
 
No one can snatch you out of the father's hand, and God is greater than all, so watch out anyone who tries. 
 
So here we see that Jesus wants to keep you saved, the Father wants Jesus to keep you saved… but can Jesus do that.
 
Jude 24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.  
 
Here we clearly see that He is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the father.
 
So He is able, and Jesus is willing, for its his desire that none perish, and the Father told Jesus to keep you and save you, and Jesus had agreed, and He has faithfully completed all the father gave Him. You are already saved forever. God has to be faithful to His promise to save you.
 
Friends God is faithful. His faithfulness never ends, never fades, never diminishes…
 
Look at this ridiculous scripture.
 
II Timothy 2:13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful - for he cannot deny himself.
 
Even when we are faithless, He remains faithful, wow what an amazing God. Gods faithfulness sets us up for victory. His love never fades, He loves you perfectly all the time. He is always for you and never against you. He will uphold you by the power of His hand, watch out anyone who comes against you.
 
You are blessed, you have great power, you can do anything..heal the sick, raise the dead, perform signs wonders and miracles. He has positioned you for success through His faithfulness in every area of your life. In marriage, in business, he Loves you he is with you in a powerful way, he will never leave you or abandon you or forsake you. You are His, bought with a price, the precious blood of Jesus in which we now stand.
 
Thank you Jesus, thank you for being a righteous God faithful to His word. Thank you for the glorious new covenant! Thank you that you  are always faithful. Praise you Jesus.

Col1v12a(Gspd)The Father has entitled us to partake of this Glorious inheritance,this just thrills me beyond description(this sense of entitlement given to us by the Highest authority causes us to rise up & walk with a sense of dignity & authority,we,re not trying to get free,its our absolute blood bought right & entitlement to walk in freedom,we are absolutely & divinely entitled to walk in victory over all the works of darkness,whatever we need to walk as conquerers masters & kings has been freely given to us,we are entitled to walk in dignity & dominion as SONS OF THE MOST HIGH GOD,the truth of the matter is, if we will really let it get a hold of us beloved,everytthing in this earth realm is as subject to us as it is to Jesus if HE were personaly present,WE ARE AS DIVINELY ENTITLED AS JESUS IS, we are co-heirs with Him.Something happened to me a few weeks ago, i was in a meeting , the brother who was preaching was telling us how God will not share His Glory with another,as he was speaking, the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD spoke to me & i almost fell of my chair,HE said"& YOU ARE NOT ANOTHER"then several brethren got the scripture from jhn17v22-23,& the Glory which thou gavest me I have given them;that they may be one even as we are one;I in them & Thou in Me,that they may be made perfect in one;& that the world may know that thou has sent Me,& hast loved them,as thou hast loved me.For to long we have been seperated in our conciousness from Him, Its time for us to grow up into the fullness of the stature of Christ beloved,He became flesh & by thus doing He became eternaly united with humanity& He still is & ever will be eternaly united with humanity,THe LORD JESUS CHRIST is the HEAD of the new humanity & is pre-eminent in all things,But the truth is that we have the same Father,we are of the same substance,we have the same identity.we are partakers of His Mighty conquest over all the forces of hell.It is our leagal blood bought inheritence & we are fully entitled to partake of it.1cor12v12for as the body is one & hath many members, & all the members of that one body,being many are one body,SO ALSO IS CHRIST.Acts9v4'Saul Saul why persecutest me"1cor6v15 & what concord hath Christ with belial.Ephch5 we are married to Christ, we share the same identity the same agenda, we are spirit of His Spirit flesh of His Flesh & bone of His Bone.WE are not another one-but the same Glorious ONE.(thayers; abide=to remain as one,not to become another or diferent.WE as the Christ family are fully entitled!!!!

This rocks

We are declared righteoues-given a perfect right standing with the Heavenly Father 100% based on what Jesus Christ has done on our behalf. WE have been reconciled 100% (freindship harmony unity dignity worth)based on the accomplishment of our wonderfull Jesus alone. We are absolutely free from sin 100% based on the finished work of of our glorious Christ.If grace needs any contribution on our part then it is no longer grace,WE ARE NOT JUSTIFIED BY FAITH, WE HAVE BEEN JUSTIFIED BY CHRIST!!!!!!! our faith plays no part in it.Gods faith in His workmanship plays every part in it.Our faith does not moove God,He has already mooved in Christ.WE dont have to overcome the world the flesh or the devil its already been done in Christ& given to us as a free gift.The "faith" message has put all of the focus emphasis & attention on us beloved,when all the focus & emphasis should be on Christ & His total accomplishment on our behalf.Its ours beloved, we dont have to "beleive" for it, its just simply ours,Gods doing in Christ, to tell somebody what they already have as their leagal right will ignite faith,to tell somebody what they,ve yet to attain wont!!! faith is the fruit of grace i.e what the Father has unreservedly & unconditionaly given us in Christ,Faith comes by hearing the message concerning the Christ,I.E HIS ACCOMPLISHMENT ON OUR BEHALF!!!!!!

Partnering with Jesus as He builds His church.

Matthew 16 (ESV):13Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" 14And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." 15He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
 
In this passage Jesus gives insight to the church.
 
Firstly the church is built on the revelation the Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God.
 
The Church essentially exists to co operate with the Father as he reveals Jesus in the earth.
 
Jesus is the Christ, the savior of man, the savior of the world and the only hope for salvation and for the lost.
 
Jesus is building His church and we get to be in it and touch it.
 
There are two ways to build a church.
 
1)      You can do your own thing and ask Him to come bless it.
 
2)       or you can find out what he is doing and join Him. This releases great power and anointing and blessing.
 
It has always been the intent of God, that the church be built on the revelation of Jesus. This is the primary reason for the existence of the church. Everything else is secondary.
 
Secondly we see that the gates of Hell will not prevail against the church.
 
The church is the most powerful organization in the world today. Both in the physical and spiritual world. It will become increasingly so, as what we are positionally becomes more and more of a reality experientially.
 
Thirdly we see that he has given us the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
 
Jesus has entirely completed everything we need to release the climate of heaven into our present reality. That means that "as it is on heaven" it can be here.
 
So the church positioned under and in Him positions it's self to be a vehicle of Gods good news, His goodness and His glory.

Wayne's World...(2Feb09)

Receiving a measure of the fullness of God.

There is a experience  of God that is beyond Knowledge.
 
There is a realm of our relationship with God that goes beyond mere intellect and cerebral processes.
 
Gods desire is for us to be rooted and grounded in this experience of God.
 
Knowing about marriage and being married are very different, and being married and being happily married are very different experiences.
 
God wants us to enter and experience deeper realms of Him and in Him. And there is always more and more, and deeper places to go in God. Every part of God radiates glory beyond comprehension, and God wants you to experience them all.
 
As a team of God placed leaders, we come in line with Gods desire for you. We make it our goal therefore to partner with the will of God. He wants every one of us filled with Him, and to know Him experientially.
 
Paul was a person who knew the depths of God. He had experienced various dimensions of the Glory of God. He knew miracles, he knew signs and wonders. He knew what it was to fall under the power of God and to co-operate with the spirit of God in ministering the new covenant.
 
He also was catapulted into higher realms with God going into the third heavens, look at this..
 
2 Cor 12 will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. 2I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know--God knows. 3And I know that this man--whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows-- 4was caught up to paradise. He heard inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell.
 
Here we see Paul talking about visions and revelations, and spiritual or physical transportations God opened to Him.
 
These things are still happening today. These experiences strengthen you in your inner being. They bring deeper understanding of God, revelation. They bring God glory! God can even show you deep things that are just for you, that others might not know, or may not be ready to know. Such is the depth of God and the realms of the Glory of God. It's the realm where God could show you anything, and you could experience anything….
 
Ephesisan 3:16 pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
 
God wants to give you something out of His glorious riches….
 
God wants to strengthen you in your inner being…
 
God wants Christ to dwell in your hearts…through faith.
 
God wants to root you and establish you in love..
 
God wants you to have His power in you, and flowing out of you…every saint "all the saints"…
 
God wants you to know the multi dimensional scope of His love…Its dimensions are beyond the scope of science and physics…4 dimensions in this example…entering the eternal spiritual glory realm.
 
It's a love that surpasses knowledge. Knowledge is in the head, but there is a deeper inner man, spiritual heart arena that God wants to dwell in, to touch, effect, strengthen and have dominion over.
 
With this deep experience comes the reality of "filled to the measure of all the fullness of God".
 
20Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
 
He wants His experience and work in you to pass your prayers. He does not want to be limited to our feeble prayers, no he has much more for us that we can even imagine…
 
All this is to His glory, in the church, for all generations…this is a desire of God for us for all time..
 
These thing will happen for all time, in the church, to those who are in Christ Jesus. Then they will continue to happen through eternity. Actually entering into the glory realm is tasting the eternal realm.
 
What happens is we transcend earth and enter the glory of God…
 
The bottom line is that God has more for us. Every revelation s an invitation to a deeper encounter.
 
It may start with a gentle presence, where you know he is in the room. I could be that you feel His power coming into you. You may feel an emotion released such as love, or peace. The presence can burn away strongholds, addictions….or bring healing to the body. I've seen demonic deliverances come in the glory. No prayer and no person, just the glory…bringing freedom.
 
It could be more, visions, dreams. There could be signs and wonders in that climate. Gold dust, gold teeth, feathers, oil..anything  is possible, for he can do more that we can imagine.
 
You may get caught up into heaven, or even transported to another place. All these things happened to people in the bible and still happen today. I know people with which these things have happened to, and they are still happening. We can't always explain all of it…but it is real…real signs that make you wonder.
 
God wants to take you deeper. He will meet you where you are at. He will only let you experience what your ready for. Not everyone will experience all the same things.
 
We do however need to hunger for these things. We need to submit our minds, we need reach out for an experience that surpasses the cerebral, we need to want to align ourselves with Gods invitation to go deeper. Being totally passive will not manifest the reality of more.
 
We don't have to work, or be holy enough, these things come by grace to those who position themselves in love and adoration for who God is and how magnificently glorious he is, and then content to enter the realm of that glory. It's a submission, a rest in His goodness and a longing for more of Him.
